Mission

Mission Statement

To live as an intentional community sharing resources and breaking down prejudice and discrimination in Massachusetts by providing services to our local community including the poor and underprivileged. These services will include food and shelter for those in need, after school activities, mentorship, and tutoring for children, events for the entire community to promote togetherness, and mentorship and guidance for those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Our hope is to foster a deep community involvement and lessen the burden of government.

You may be saying “That sounds great but what does that all mean?” here is a little more detail in to our hopes and dreams for Broken Stones:

Our intentional community lives together, works together, and eats together. We share responsibilities and daily tasks and prepare meals together. We share in each others pain and heartache as well as triumphs. We are family.

We break down prejudice and discrimination by serving those who society deems to be the lowest. We hold no memory of the past, only looking towards the bright future each individual has through the promise of Christ Jesus. No struggle is to big to overcome and we conquer this through community and togetherness.

We foster community, not just in our own little plot of land, but in our entire neighborhood and city. We provide food and shelter to our neighbors in need, we hang out with kids playing games and teaching them skills like painting, computers, gardening, building things, and helping them with school work. We throw block parties for anyone and everyone building real relationships with those around us. We are always available to chat or grab a cup of coffee and be present in the lives of those around us.
