The Lausanne Movement

Dana Fisher From May 2010 – November of 2010 we helped The Lausanne Movement with conversation.lausanne.org. The Lausanne Movement was started by Billy Graham to unite evangelicals in the pursuit of evangelizing the world. In October of 2010 they held the 3rd Lausanne Congress in Cape Town, South Africa with over 4,000 participants from nearly 200 countries represented. Leading up to the Congress I loaded content on the site, helped with support requests from participants, tested the site, and helped launch the site in 8 languages. In October, I headed down to South Africa to work with the Congress on site. Along with all the things mentioned above I did whatever I could to lend a hand, even handing out shirts to volunteers on the first day. October 28th, 2010 Dana Fisher Back in 2003 I was at Fenway Park for game 4 of the divisional series against the Oakland A’s. The Red Sox had lost the first two games and would need to win the next 3 in order to advance. They won game 3 to stay alive and as game 4 was winding down it appeared their season was over. Down in the bottom of the eighth their bats came alive and with two outs Big Papi strode to the plate. Back then he was menacing. A giant superman logo was etched in his chest and fire came from his nostrils. Okay I made that up. But back then when he came to the plate you always felt like you were watching something special. June 28th, 2010 Dana Fisher For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD ~Jeremiah 29:11 At one point last year I gave my brother directions for putting new spark plugs in his car. After putting them in his car was running worse than before. Spark plugs now-a-days come “pre gaped” which means the space between for the spark is already set at the right spacing for the car they are made for. I never trust a machine, and so I told my brother to check the gap before putting each one in. I had forgot to mention pre-gapping to him so when he went to buy the plugs and the guy behind the counter told him they were already ready to put in he thought he had scored and avoided one step.
